Here is Suzy leaning on the railing of the terrace of her home in Playa Baracoa, Cuba. The terrace abuts an estuary where a river enters the Straights of Florida.
I will be staying in Suzy’s house for the entire month of July.

Not sure if you remember me but I am your oh so long ago sister in law. Have been trailing along with your travels for some time on your path of hispanic adventures. Margaret gave me your blog. You may not have known but I grew up in Mexico til the age of 14. My spirit has always been that of a global nomad since. I speak Spanish fluently as keep as find contact here in Virginia with any and all hispanic folks. “Mi corazon esta en Mexico”.
Alicia & I will be traveling to the town of Guanajuato in the central highlands on May 13th. Please send me an address so I can write directly in more detail. Your journals and photos have been a joy. I am proud to have a thread of a connection with you. Cheers, Pamela

How very nice to hear from you after all of these years. How cold I forget.
I do, in fact, remember that you speak Spanish and that had spent time in Mexico as a youngster, though I don’t remember the details.
I will ask Margaret to send me your email address so that I can send you my contact details. I don’t want to publish it here, as you know the internet. I hope that we are able to meet up somewhere.
Please give my best to your two very impressive children.
