I Got Mine, Screw The Grandkids
I ran across this animation of Ben Cohen at the Project for the Old American Century site. Cohen, of Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream, puts the USA military spending into perspective.
The animation is not long; but informative, showing to what a ridiculous extent USA military spending exceeds that of the rest of the world, combined. Such military spending is but one of the ways that rich folks farm the USA treasury, regardless of the debt imposed upon future generations.

Well, you’re screwed now. NYTimes has a big article on Xalapa.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the tip. I found a rather long article on Veracruz with a last paragraph mention of Xalapa. Is that the article to which you referred?

Nope, it is in 11/18 Travel Magazine (T): http://travel.nytimes.com/2007/11/18/travel/tmagazine/14talk-xalapa-t.html?ref=tmagazine

Thanks for the link Dan. I was happy to see the article includes a lot of bad mouthing of the city.
I found the article to be generally inaccurate and, in many instances, silly.
