Venezuela

Those in the USA government who refer to Hugo Chavez as a “thug”, “dictator”, or “strong man” are ideologues propagating propaganda and those of the lap dog media and general public who repeat such are hapless saps.

I think the Venezuelan people, their elected officials, and election officials should be congratulated for the conduct of a peaceful and fair election to decide the proposed constitutional amendments.

Those who are so uninformed as to think that Chavez has some nefarious, dictatorial ambitions should read this.

And this, to read what other Latin American leaders have to say about Chavez’s acceptance of the results and democratic respect.
