One Laptop Per Child

Just in case you haven’t heard One Laptop Per Child has embarked on the mission of providing low cost ($200) laptops to children in underdeveloped areas of the world.

The outfit is currently offers a “Give One Get One” program, for those thinking of ways you can give during th holidays.  You may also donate to send a laptop to a child in a developing nation.

    This program was shown on one of the nationally televised stations, and have you had a chance to watch “Sicko”? Much description of Cuba’s medical system….I have to warn you …it will make you angry….but should see it!

    I also saw a program on TV about the laptops.

    I haven’t seen Sicko, though am anxious to. I’ll have to look in the video stores here, many of which, if I haven’t previously mentioned it, offer “Clon” DVDs at low prices.
