Gulf Of Tonkin “Attacks” Phoney

The AFP news service reports that the USA National Security Agency (NSA) has released declassified documents that indicate the purported 1964 Gulf of Tonkin North Vietnamese attack on USA naval vessels, the evidence of which “….secretary of defense Robert McNamara told Congress, …… was ‘unimpeachable,’” and which was used by President Johnson as a pretense to escalate the Vietnam war, is not true.

The released NSA documents indicate also that the North Vietnamese “were able, by communicating on Allied radio nets, to call in Allied artillery or air strikes on American units”.

I think it has been generally accepted for many years that the Gulf of Tonkin attacks never happened, but now we have absolute proof.

It is the same story when powerful USA financial interests wish to seize foreign territories and resources, whether the purported Gulf of Tonkin attack, the explosion of the USA warship Maine in Havana harbor, or Iraqi WMDs. Lie to the American people, Congress, and the UN; enlist the aid of the lapdog, profit driven media in permeating the lie into the public consciousness; and then the killing and economic looting by USA financial interests begins.

The lives of the innocents, including those of USA service personnel, be damned.

Two to six hundred thousand Filipinos died in the USA subjugation of the Philippines. Untold hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed, including tens of thousands of children who starved to death as a result of “sanctions” following the 1990 Gulf War, thanks to Presidents Bush the elder and Clinton. And hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese, not to mention the tens of thousands of Vietnamese children born with severe physical deformities, to this day, resulting from USA raining thousands of tons of Agent Orange herbicide upon the country, the most massive deployment of chemical weapons in the history of the world.

Many innocents also perished in Panama, Grenada, and the many secret wars unleashed against almost every Latin America nation by USA government “black ops” forces. Then there are the thousands who were tortured and/or disappeared by the forces of USA installed and/or supported Latin American dictators.

Spreading peace and democracy throughout the world. Shame on us for permitting our government to reign terror and kill millions for no purpose, other than to further enrich the already rich.
