Puerto Escondido March 2
OK. I’m reaady to pass judgement. Puerto Escondido is the best beach town I’ve visted.
For your reference I can report I’ve visted a number of Dalmatian and USA beach towns, a number of North Yucatan beach towns, Cabo, Cancun, Ixtapa, Playa Baracoa Cuba and probably others I’ve forgotten.
Kicking Calvin in Playa Baracoa.

Wow, that’s quite a recommendation. You described the beach and the relative “funkitude” of some of the hotels. Is that what makes it your favorite beach town?

Hey Neil,
It is the lack of montorous hotels, it is the physical beauty of the place, it is the authtic feel of the place, it’s the fact that the place is not over run with tourists (like me), it’s the fact of the relaxed beach town feel, It’s the fishing boats anchored along the shore, It’s the early morning beachfront fish market.. It’s just all so tubular.
Keep in mind that there are a zillion, or so, beach towns I haven’t visited. So my data sample is limited.
