I think this analysis by Robin Toner, in today’s NYT, is about the most reasoned analysis of the different approaches of the Clinton and Obama campaigns that I have read this campaign season.

The header photo is of Cuban children bouncing on a tree limb I encountered in 2004 while hiking up the mountain to visit Los Aquaticos, folks living in an area of the mountains overlooking the Vinales Valley accessible only on foot or horseback. Los Aquaticos believe the water in their community is special, bath multiple times per day in the water and dry themselves in the mountain air.Photos
