Ruminations of an Expatriate

Sam Stein, of the Huffington Post, reports that while ABC talking hairdos, Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos, were beating Obama up for not wearing a flag lapel pin during their pathetic moderation of last evening’s “debate”, neither was wearing their’s.

I wish we could witness a real debate during these campaigns, rather than a question period with the questions presented by vacuous broadcast media personalities, who presumptuously call themselves journalists.

Brad DeLong has an excellent suggestion as to more appropriate vocations for Gibson and  Stephanopoulos, “I propose that everybody associated with the debate at ABC leave journalism and find another job where they can be socially productive–replacing bunnies as animal testing subjects for cosmetics comes to mind as perhaps the best use…“  [Bold emphasis mine]
